Holistic Health Retreat: Yoga for Emotional Resilience

Emotional health has been defined as our capacity to share love with others. Emotional resilience refers to our ability to process, understand, and integrate daily life experiences to maintain emotional health that leads to a broad, inclusive view of ourselves and others. This weekend retreat will give you the tools and practices to increase awareness of negative emotional thought patterns and how to change them to positive, affirming thoughts that serve your higher goals and help others along the way.

This retreat is part of our Yoga Health Educator series and is taught by Molly Dahl, a Sivananda Yoga Health Educator-in-training, and includes a personal Yoga Health Consultation with follow up visits to tailor a personal Yoga routine for you.

Special Offering — Restorative Yoga

Special Offering — Restorative Yoga

Restorative Yoga is a yoga practice that seeks to achieve physical, mental, & emotional relaxation, focusing less on stretching and more on softening & opening. When the body is stable and safe, deep relaxation results. This deep relaxation allows the nervous system to release the grip of “fight or flight” and move into Rest-oration, hence Restorative Yoga. It is especially useful when you need to eliminate fatigue, stress, and burnout that result from your daily activities. While some restorative yoga poses are beneficial to the entire body, others target specific parts of the body, such as the heart, the lungs, or the nervous system.

In this session, we’ll focus primarily on the hips and low back, really allowing us to let go of the “drive”, the constant forward pressure and movement we feel compelled to in our day-to-day living.

This class is a free offering. Please come and let yourself unwind…from the day, from the summer, from the last 8 months. Bring whatever props you have.
